I've just read "Voodoo in New Orleans" by Robert Tallant. It's a great book, written in about 1946. I thought it was going to be about the rituals and processes of Voodoo, but it's actually about the charecters floating round at that time, flim-flam artists like Marie Laveau and Doctor John. Patter's has just read "The Serpent and the Rainbow" by Wade Davies, basically about the history of Haiti and in perticular Vodoun Zombies. Oh yeah, and the other night we watched "Zombie Flesh Eaters" (aka "Zombi 2") which is based around a Voodoo curse.
